Indeed, the first thing I'm doing is cleaning up old stuff and updating everything.

Will take some time though.

So stay tuned.

thank you georgem... so, how do I get the right number for diff... any suggestion?

that's the trick. You have to fine tune it yourself.

Depending on your hardware and other parameters the best value for you might be a different one than for me.

Just put in a value and start the miner and check the hashrate and how stable it stays.

Among many things there is the spreadwallet I am working on.

If you haven't already, watch a few of the videos on my vimeo account:

Hi, how diff works in spreadminer? do you know?

you add the parameter -x followed by a number

e.g.

Code: [Select]
spreadminer -o http://127.0.0.1:41677 -u X -p X -x 3

I set diff for 1080 Ti to 21
and
diff for 1050 Ti to 3,
got the best results this way.

masternodes in this form are not going to happen, we had a split in the community, different opinions about what way we should move. That's the reason we had this split where those who want plain masternodes can migrate to HLM.

Spreadcoin is about decentralization, and DASH-like masternodes are the opposite of that, since they are only here to serve those with the most money with a guaranteed ROI.

I need to clean up all those past threads that are mixed with false information and past plans.

Expect a big overhaul of everything.

Please ask in the Helium thread or forum (if there is any).

This forum here is about Spreadcoin only.

don't enter it in the debug window, rather just add it to the exe file when starting qt.

For example on windows you can do this by creating a shortcut file and then change properties of that file and append additional parameters at the end of the Target file:

Any updates Georgem?

Working on it. Also waiting for the HLM "spectacle" to pass by first.

Just put your 1500 kHash in context with the total net hashrate of 30 - 40 GigaHash that we have these days, and no wonder you can't find any blocks.
Your chances exist but are very very low.

Depending on your situation you might have to wait for a few minutes... easily.

Don't send me PM, we can solve it publicly for everyone to see.

Do you know what a spreadminer is, and how to use it?

You wrote in the PM, that you plan to use VPS to mine... that sounds like you don't know what GPU-Mining is.

You can't CPU mining Spreadcoin anymore, that was last possible in Summer 2014, but difficulty is so high right now that you absolutely need a GPU. Many of them, actually, lol

in what way does it crash?

If it's just a race condition (can happen) you just need to let it finish its job even if it doesn't seem to react (look at the CPU % that spreadcoin uses during this time, if it shows that it is working just let it finish its job).
