You're both working on similar things, ...

No, we are not.

BTW, the only other coin I would want to participate in is Bitcoin.  ;)

The only exception to that are other SpreadX11 based coins, ... once they appear I will be willing to cooperate with them.  8)

Well I meant similar in that you're both focusing on networking. Just seemed like maybe a good fit.

Anyways, do you have any plans for an update on activities or where you're seeing this go in the next months/years?  The btctalk thread misses you ;)

Hey George, I keep forgetting to come here instead of BTCtalk, but those updates are great. Do you have any more updates for us?

Also, have you talked or collaborated with the Blocknet guys in the past?  You're both working on similar things, but I'm curious to know how your plans differ compared to theirs. They're totally cool with any coin integrating with them, so I think maybe your current ideas will be easier to implement by simply using the p2p link through blocknet instead of the genesis block key stuff that clonecoins fail to change?  I'm thinking you may also have some good ideas for their dev, atcsecure, since you guys were basically the first ones to start working on these things.

Anyways, hope things are going well with the testing!

So how long *should* it take to mine 1 block with like 30ish mh right now?  I'm worried mine isn't going to do anything like that other guy with a large nvidia farm.  So far it has only been like 12hrs, but still nothing.  All say they're hashing away though  ???

You can calculate the average blocks you "should" get per day (if you have average luck of 100%).

This is how you calculate it:
Spreadcoin has on average 1440 Blocks per day.
You get the total hashrate by typing getinfo in your wallets debug window. (or go to Mining Tab)
At the moment we have 5.5 GH/s.
Your hasharte is 30 MH/s or 0.03 GH/s.

Now do this: Your Hashrate / Total Hashrate * Total blocks per day
Example: 0.03/5.5 * 1440 = 7.8 blocks.
(as Wolf0 said: roughly 8 blocks a day, or once every 3 hours)

Now if you have mined for 12 hours without finding a block, it means that your luck has fallen down to about 25 %. (this means you should have found 4 blocks (once every 3 hours), but you had bad luck...)

So just keep on mining, soon you will find 3 blocks within 30 minutes and you will understand what "variance" means. (this will make your luck jump to 1800%)

I wish I had 30 MH/s mining power.

My bad, I checked and my average is only 1.6-1.7mh on 750s and just shy of 4mh on 2 970s.  Still near 27mh.  I did get 2 blocks overnight though so I guess it's working, just a bit on the unlucky side to start off.
