The interesting thing is that I joined this forum because of the amount of space I needed and I wanted to know where to look.

Hey georgem, when SPR will be delisted from coin stocks? As far as I understand the SPR is slowly moving towards death.

Is anyone using this software? Is it worth checking out?

Sorry for the late answer:

I will never abandon Spreadcoin, I think the Spread Proof of Knowledge (POK)  mechanism is interesting and I have already seen other coins use this. So we should at least maintain position as coin that invented POK.

More stuff coming soon!

This is good news that you'll be continuing with Spreadcoin and not creating another coin. I've been holding Spreadcoin for the last couple of years and have full trust in it and GeorgeM

To clean up your transaction history, you can start fresh with a new wallet.dat

To do this:
- Close your spreadcoin wallet
- Rename your old wallet.dat to oldwallet.dat (in windows it's in %AppData%/Roaming/SpreadCoin)
- Restart your wallet (this will create a new wallet.dat)
- Create and take note of a receive address
- Close the wallet, rename wallet.dat to newwallet.dat
- Rename oldwallet.dat to wallet.dat
- Open Wallet, and send coins to your new receive address
- Close wallet, rename wallet.dat to oldwallet.dat
- Rename newwallet.dat to wallet.dat

When you reopen the wallet (using the new wallet.dat), you should see your coins in your new address, with only one transaction.

If you ever need the old transaction history you can reload oldwallet.dat  ... But CAUTION , do not lose or overwrite the wallet.dat that has the coins in it.  This would cause you to lose all your coins. In fact, it's probably a good idea to keep copies of your wallet.dat files somewhere safe, in case it gets deleted or your hard drive fails.

Hope this helps.

Georgem, why don't you create a new coin? What not just abandon Spreadcoin and make another one?

Is it because what you're making isn't directly affected by Spreadcoin?
