Transaction too large (over 5000SPR)
« on: December 09, 2016, 10:25:37 pm »
This error message pops up when trying to transfer over 5000SPR:

"Transaction too large"

Wallet version v0.9.16.1-gdba4d2b-beta

Any idea what this is about?

This is a known problem that all coins have.

The transaction you are trying to create has a very large amount of inputs.
Let me guess, lots of coinbase tx inputs, probably from 1000 or so mined blocks, right?

Try splitting your transactions up into smaller groups and merge them into a transaction.
Don't put more than 200 or so inputs into a transaction of say 1000 SPR.
So you probably need to repeat this atleast 5 times.
Afterwards you can merge those 5 x 1000 SPR into your desired 5000 SPR.

BTW, that could be something that we could solve in the spreadwallet.
I think we can find a solution that facilitates the merging of lots of small tx's into a single output.
Some kind of automated process.
