It's not about having anything substantial. Mr. Spread had complete rights over the last ANN. Which means we can't change anything.  The community needs to see that we have new developers and are moving forward. To me that is substantial.

Does it? What's prompting you to think so? Do you have any special advantage over anyone else in your ability to interpret the expression of community needs?

I agree to an extent but that thread is an absolute mess right now.

I report big red letters to the mod and they take forever to fix it.

As someone who believes in the coin it makes the thread look like a joke.

I agree with you that we have nothing substantial to communicate,
but a new ANN thread is required simply because the ANN thread we have now has too many dead links.

New people come to the thread and can't even download functioning wallets.

That's a disgrace, and that's what we have to fix first.

So over the weekend I finally managed to build a qt wallet (and daemon) on windows. 8)
(This will also come in handy, because now I can create future test round wallets for windows, this will make more people want to participate in the test rounds)

What I am doing right now is compiling a static version of all the qt libraries, so that I can put all the necessary dlls into the exe. (I am using Qt 5.4.0)
Takes forever to compile.
And I need to repeat that for 32 bit and 64 bit, and for linux and mac. Phew.
Then I will have the perfect dev and build environment ready.

Stay tuned.

linux wallets are never standard - so if you can supply the source - i can compile ( if it works of course ) the x64 version in fedora 19 x64 and fedora 20 x64 ...
